Prairiland FFA Takes Honors at  Paris District Convention 

Thursday night turned out to be a great night for Prairiland FFA, as Chelsea Kimberling was elected by the delegates to serve as the new Paris District Vice President for the upcoming 2012-2013. She will now represent about 21 different schools in The Paris District. Some of her duties will  require her to organize and plan for camps and convention as well as building important leadership skills. The Prairiland AG talent team also prevailed with a win taking home 1st place out of a total of ten teams. Prairiland AG talent will now advance to the area convention to represent Paris District at the Kilgore Junior College on February 20th at 2 p.m. Jared Bolin finished up his year of serving as Advisor for the Paris District officers for the year 2011-2012. He has represented the District well, just as Chelsea will do this upcoming year.
 

All seniors, the National FFA Scholarship opens November 15, 2011. Start filling it out early so we can get it sent in ASAP. Thanks. Go to www.FFA.org to find and download scholarship.

There is a Chapter FFA Meeting on Monday, September 19th. It starts at 6 p.m. and will be held in the Ag building. Be sure to bring extra clothes, or wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty! ALSO, there will be food and drinks!

Also, on Friday, September 2nd, the Prairiland FFA held a hamburger lunch to all of the paid FFA members.

On Friday September 2^nd, two of Texas state FFA officers came to Prairiland High School, and discussed with the school some of their favorite moments in the FFA. Taylor and Peyton played some games with some of Prairiland’s own FFA members.
